academic programs approved and renewed over the past year. Presentation of the

CFLE Academic Programs Networking Session

Representatives of NCFR Approved Programs are encouraged to come for a time of networking. Ask questions about maintaining Academic Program approval, the Abbreviated Application process for students including course substitutions and more. Brainstorm ways to promote the field of family life education and
recruit students for your program! Feel free to bring your lunch!

Special Session - FLE and the Affordable Care Act
Thursday, November 1, 3:30 - 5:30pm - Borein A
This session will feature invited participants representing parent education, substance abuse prevention,
healthcare, policy-making, etc. gathered together to discuss how family life education can be supported
through the Affordable Care Act. Observers will have the opportunity to join the conversation.
CFLE Forum

The CFLE Forum provides an opportunity to meet with other CFLEs to discuss
the current status of the program and future directions including possible outcomes from the

How to Become a Certified Family Life Educator

NCFR staff Dawn Cassidy and Maureen Bourgeois will share the benefits of certification and explain the
Abbreviated Application process as well as what it is involved in qualifying for and completing the CFLE
exam. It is helpful to have existing CFLEs in the audience so if you are available, please stop by!
