Irene Levin's review of Women Voicing Resistance: Discursive and Narrative Explanations
Irene Levin's review of Women Voicing Resistance: Discursive and Narrative Explanations published in the September 2015 issue of JFTR is glowing, to say the least. She describes Suzanne McKenzie-Mohr and Michelle Lafrance's edited volume as focusing on "individual, social, and political influences shaping what women can do with stories and the consequences of those stories for their lives. At its core, this book is about women's attempts to restory or counterstory their lives when prevailing discourses and dominant narratives are unhelpful or even harmful."
