a $C_rvicc committ~ for aJI tutionaJ committe-es. Its members
will coosist of one rcpresrntath•c fo r c.ach of the twelve com~

from which anyoae interested in family life education may then
secure information about movies. radio, television and press

The Mass Media Committee will meet Wednesday, August

PARENT EDUCATION
The National Committee fo r Parent Education will conduct
a special progum o n the recruitment and training of parent
education leaders. This p roblem is of paramount concern to the
joint committee representing the NatiooaJ Committee fo r Puent
Ed ucation and the l':>tion.ll Congress o f Parents and Teachcrs,
an o rganization t hlt conducts its own tr.Uning " 'orkshops for
by leaders drttwn from its roster of more than six million
P.T.A. members. The challenge to both g roups is the further
devclopment of a program designed to find those w ith background ond personality suited to parent education leadership and
to give them the training and status required to do the best possible job. Chairman and co-chairman of the Committee fo r this
program are Eva H . Grant, editor of the National Parent T tarhu,

This Annual Meeting of the Natjonal ~Council an

Tbe program for Wednesday morning is ,especially
planned to promote inter-professional understanding and
1
cooperation.
Auxiliary features such as exhibits, films, plays and

But most of all we hop,e there wiU be 'a d,eep sense of
personal fellowship and inspiration ·w hich will help
each one of us to be, in o·u r person and in our professioni
